Restorative Integrated Youth Services (RIYS) Program is a youth diversion program designed to provide comprehensive, individualized case planning services for at-risk youth.

Our goal is to reduce youth involvement in the Juvenile Justice System by offering community-based interventions that support both youth and their families.
Who We Serve
Serving youth ages 8-17 in Oneida County.
Youth enrolled in RIYS include those who:
Have been adjudicated as a Person in Need of Supervision (PINS) or charged with Juvenile Delinquency (JD)
Are at risk of out-of-home placement due to behavioral concerns
Are involved in Arrest Diversion Programs or referred by Family Court, Probation, or Schools
Need individualized, evidence-based interventions to improve academic, social, and behavioral outcomes

How We Help
Through our diversion-based interventions, RIYS provides youth and family-focused services aimed at preventing further justice system involvement and out-of-home placements.
Comprehensive Case Planning
Each youth is assigned a CNYHHN Diversion Case Worker who provides:
Individual & Family Support at home, in school, and within the community
Case coordination and treatment planning tailored to the youth’s needs
Youth Assessment Screening Inventory (YASI) to determine risk and service needs
Referral & linkage to community support services, including primary care, mental health, substance use treatment, and care management
Collaboration with an Interdisciplinary Team to monitor progress
Individualized School & Community-Based Interventions
Each youth is also assigned a Safe Schools Mohawk Valley Specialist, who implements evidence-based interventions to promote success in school and beyond:
